SIPI Law Associates is a Law Firm based in Kampala Uganda. SIPI Law Associates vision is providing legal solutions that are in touch with the demands and opportunities of doing business in the information age. Secondly, we place tremendous value on providing first class legal services that give the client value for money returns as well as holding our clients' information in the utmost confidentiality.
The firm was formed by Paul Asiimwe in 2004 who is its current Managing partner. Paul is a graduate of Makerere University law School as well as the University of Warwick where he pursued a Masters degree (LLM) in International Economic Law. The firm's professional staff comprises three full time lawyers and one consultant. At SIPI Law, we continuously strive to provide our clients the best service within the areas of our expertise. Below are our primary areas of legal counsel.
· Trademark & Patent registration, renewal, watch services, drafting and registration of assignments, licenses, negotiating franchise agreements and advising on anti-counterfeiting measures.
· Trade and Investment legal services ie advising on sector regulatory regimes, incentives available, benefits under specific bilateral investment treaties, legal audits for potential acquisitions and privatization.
· Telecoms and IT law; drafting commercial license agreements, non disclosure agreements, product development agreements and general counsel on the regulatory environment for the telecoms sector.
· Company registration, business name registration, company secretarial work
· Real estate purchases, due diligence ie conducting land searches, drafting leases, sale or purchase agreements, asset protection ie lodging caveats, rent recovery and asset management.
